Captain Karl Anderson
Hailing originally from the once famous fishing town of Beach Haven, NJ, Karl got an early start on the water fishing and boating with his father and friends which lead to several private jobs entertaining owners clients catching bluefish, weakfish and tuna offshore along with fluke and weakfish in the bay which lead to taking his first professional job the summer of 1975 aboard the charter boat Sapphire Lady with Captain Fred Kalm. It was not long after there was a trip to the Baltimore Canyon aboard Dick & Marcia Ryon’s Anthracite along with his father and guests who had bought the trip at a Duck’s Unlimited banquet. That day produced several White Marlin and a 610 pound Blue Marlin that sparked the interest in big game fishing that is still alive today. There was allot of boat detailing, teak cleaning along with inshore and nearshore grunt trips interspersed with the occasional offshore trip before the offshore trips became the norm.
